Book Review: Diplomatics by Luciana Duranti

No, Diplomatics is not the study of diplomacy or politics but the study of documents. It has been described by its leading practitioner, Luciana Duranti, "As studying the written document by analyzing the information transmitted or described by means of rules of representation, which are themselves evidence of the intent to convey information: formulas, bureaucratic or literary style, specialized language, interview technique, and so on. Fall 2008 RefWorks Training Sessions for Faculty and Graduate Students

RefWorks, the on-line bibliographic and citation software, is available to faculty and graduate students at Youngstown State University.

RefWorks assists the serious researcher in managing citation information in a centralized, web-based application. This management program permits the exportation of citation information from diverse databases and catalogs. RefWorks can use these centralized citations to create bibliographies and citations within documents in a wide variety of formats.

Maag Library is offering several training sessions during Fall 2008 for faculty and graduate students interested in learning more about RefWorks.

It's back!!! Due to popular demand, the Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, September 15th through Thursday, September 18th, in the Wilcox Curriculum Resource Center (First Floor, Beeghly College of Education). Hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
